THE KNOVERA LAWS OF RESPONSIBLE AI
Our Commitment
At Knovera Consulting, we believe AI is a powerful extension of human capability — not a replacement for it. Technology is only as ethical as the intentions of those who wield it. That is why we do not simply adopt AI. We govern it.The following principles are written not for machines, but for us — the humans who build, use, and are accountable for AI. These laws guide every engagement at Knovera and reflect our commitment to responsible, equitable, and sustainable AI practice.
Law 01
Do No Harm
Humans shall not use AI to harm other humans or humanity. The sole exception is in response to an imminent, life-threatening emergency where inaction would result in loss of life.
Law 02
Act With Integrity
Humans shall not use AI for evil, deceit, or duplicitous activities including but not limited to deepfakes, misinformation, impersonation, phishing, mockery, scamming, and conning. AI shall never be weaponized against human trust.
Law 03
Source Sustainably
Humans shall use sustainably sourced AI that does not harm the planet or humanity.
Law 04
Bridge the Gap
KM and AI shall serve as a bridge for the underserved. Knowledge and intelligence are not reserved for the elite.
Law 05
Keep Humans in the Driver's Seat
Humans shall always remain the final decision-makers. We may co-create with AI responsibly, but the final call belongs to us.
Law 06
Be Transparent and Give Credit
When AI assists in our work, we announce it. AI amplifies human ideas — but the original thought, vision, and prompt shall always come from a human.
Law 07
Protect Privacy and Confidentiality
Humans shall protect the privacy and confidentiality of individuals and organizations when using AI. Personal and proprietary data shall never be exploited or exposed.
Law 08
Challenge Bias and Champion Fairness
Humans shall actively identify and challenge bias in AI outputs. An AI is only as fair as the human who audits it.
Law 09
People Over Profit
Humans shall never value AI above the people it serves. While efficiency and innovation matter, AI shall not be pursued in ways that undermine human livelihoods, dignity, or well-being. AI may transform work — but it must always elevate human potential, not erase it.
These principles were developed by Deborah Scott, MBA, CKM, CAIM, KCS v6 — Founder & CEO of Knovera Consulting, LLC — in co-creation with Claude (Anthropic) and Microsoft Copilot, in the spirit of Law 6.Inspired by Isaac Asimov's Three Laws of Robotics (1942).First published March 2026 | knovera.co
